The firm focuses its practice in the area of family law, and has extensive experience handling complex matrimonial matters; business valuations and tracing of assets; division of property; child custody, modification of orders; antenuptial agreements and appellate practice. 

Berkowitz, Cook & Gondring also is known for its trial experience and work ethic in preparing cases for either settlement or trial.  In partnership since 1989, Gail Berkowitz and Jim Cook have built a solid, aggressive family law practice which includes large asset cases; challenging custody issue cases; as well as complex litigation.  Both Gail Berkowitz and Jim Cook have been recognized repeatedly and listed in “Best Lawyers in America,” and both have been active in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers as well.  In addition, both Gail and Jim have lectured frequently as part of the Continuing Legal Education Bar programs. 

Christina E. Gondring joined the law firm as associate in 2001, and has shown her strengths as a litigator in the family law arena.  Christina became a partner in January, 2007. Associate Erica A. Driskell joined us in 2006, and Preston Drobeck became our newest associate in 2008.
